iGarden has unveiled its new Swim Jet X Series, introducing what the company describes as the world’s first fully wireless swim jet system. The device, which earned recognition as a CES 2026 Innovation Award Honoree, is designed to transform standard swimming pools into training environments without requiring plumbing, electrical work, or permanent installation.
The product officially launched on Kickstarter, marking the commercial debut of a portable counter-current swimming system that can be deployed in minutes. The concept could appeal to homeowners looking for swim-training capabilities without the high cost typically associated with swim spas or built-in jet systems.
Traditional counter-current swimming systems often require extensive modifications to a pool and installation costs that can exceed $20,000. The Swim Jet X Series aims to remove those barriers by offering a self-contained, battery-powered alternative.
A Wireless Approach to Pool Training
At the center of the Swim Jet X Series is what iGarden calls a “Clamp-and-Swim” architecture. Instead of installing equipment inside the pool structure, users simply clamp the unit to the pool edge and activate it.
The device operates on a 10-hour lithium-ion battery system, allowing it to be transported and set up without wiring or electrical connections. According to the company, the system can be rolled to the poolside and ready for use within minutes.
The design is compatible with most in-ground and above-ground pools larger than 2.5 meters, potentially expanding access to swim training for pool owners who previously lacked space or infrastructure for traditional systems.
Built for Training, Not Just Recreation
Unlike many consumer pool gadgets, the Swim Jet X Series is positioned as a training tool rather than a novelty accessory.
The system uses a PMSM motor combined with Smart Flow Technology to generate a controlled water current of up to 3.5 meters per second, creating resistance suitable for lap swimming and triathlon training.
Safety was also a key focus during development. The system incorporates what iGarden calls an “Ultimate Safety Shield,” a five-layer protection system that includes:
- An IP68 waterproof motor
- Low-voltage internal architecture
- Sensors that automatically shut down the unit if instability or tilting is detected
These features are intended to ensure stable operation during prolonged training sessions.
Pricing and Kickstarter Launch
The Swim Jet X Series is initially available through a Kickstarter campaign, with several pricing tiers targeting different types of users.
The lineup includes:
X20-P10 (Entry Model)
Priced at $799 during the campaign (MSRP $1,199), this version delivers 300W of power and about 1.7 hours of runtime, aimed at recreational swimmers and families.
X30-P30 (Standard Model)
Available for $1,899 (MSRP $2,999), the mid-tier option increases power to 500W and offers up to five hours of runtime, targeting fitness-focused swimmers.
X35-P60 (Flagship Model)
The top model is priced at $2,599 during the campaign, down from a planned $4,299 retail price. It delivers 1000W of power, swim speeds up to 75 seconds per 100 yards, and up to 10 hours of battery life.
As part of the launch promotion, early Kickstarter backers will receive discounted shipping and will also be entered into a promotional giveaway where one customer could receive their entire order free of charge.
Production Timeline
The Swim Jet X Series is already in the final production review stage, according to iGarden.
Manufacturing will be handled by Fairland Group, which produces a range of outdoor technology products. The company expects shipping to begin in May 2026, aligning deliveries with the summer swimming season.
If successful, the device could introduce a new category of portable swim training equipment, offering pool owners an alternative to fixed counter-current systems.
